Hi Folks,
We all have our moments in the Salsa world. Some good, some bad, but what was your best?
Just to start the ball rolling: I was dancing in a congress last year, I asked a lady to dance, who in turn asked me to dance with someone new to salsa ( as happens ). I said sure. I was told she was 'a little nervous'. The lady in question was in her 60s/70s *, once on the floor however I realised she wasnt nervous, she was terrified as all hell and fragile as a china doll to boot.
Ah. That could be a problem. Can I rise to the occasion? Yep! Led her to the edge (safer edge of the floor ) and really owned the space we were in combined with an ultra light + gentle lead. Not only did I ensure she had a fantastic time, but I made darn sure she was safe and sound at the end of it. My best salsa moment. So far.
Anywho, I'm curious: whats yours?
