Salsa.ie aims to be what it says on the tin … all things Salsa in Ireland. This is a community website set up to bring the salsa community together for the purpose of sharing information about and discussing the one thing we all enjoy … salsa.

Having run Salsa @ Afterhours.ie for the past 5 years we feel that it's about time that the Irish salsa community has its own home and we are delighted to be able to provide this. This site is still in its infancy and more features (such as; Photos section, Articles section, etc) will be added shortly so check back regularly for updates.

We're also delighted to reintroduce the chatroom to the site, this was one of our favourite sections of Salsa @ Afterhours.ie and we look forward to chatting to you all once again!

If you would like to contribute to the site we would be delighted to hear from you. In particular if you run a class or course anywhere in Ireland or you have a salsa related article, please contact us.

So, we hope you enjoy the site and we look forward to your feedback and hopefully, your input.

Hi Mike and Mark,

I've just joined your site and think its the coolest. I've danced Salsa for years, discovered it in Cork when my sister Breda took me to the Garda Club and was hooked!. I go to the Garda Club in Dublin whenever I can, it's the best, and to lots of Salsa congress week-ends, including the Kick Fit 2009 even for a day!.  In the present government cut backs I decided to organise a Fund Raiser night for my local primary school and what better way to do it then to introduce Salsa !. Its going to be a casual Black & White Salsa Night at the Bettystown Court Hotel, with Salsa DJ, Salsa Show, Band, Finger Buffet and Raffle. Tickets are €20 and I wondered if you could post this event on your site?. I have acquired a special accommodation rate of €45 per person sharing. After a fun filled night, guests can dance or walk the beach to clear their head !!  Thanking you. Maura

Hi Maura,

Welcome to the site, sounds like a great night you are putting together! Anyone who is a member of the site is able to add a class or event listing, just go to the listings page and on the left hand side near the bottom you should see a like to "Add an Event". Just click that and put your details in!

Once you've submited and event then we will review and approve it for you as soon as possible

Thanks,

Mike
