Thread rules and structure

Do people think it would be a good idea to have posting guidelines/FAQ?

How do posters feel about the last thread being on the last page (not that too many threads are very long)? Personally, I prefer to read from the most recent to the least recent.

you would have to read upwards ??? as you would read answers to questions before you read the question.

sorry

Meant to reply to this sooner but have been waaayyyy to busy with work so I figured I'd just post the short answer for now.

The only real rules are that 1) The forum isn't to be used for advertising (that's what the Event and Class listings sections are there for and 2) Don't post anything that is illegal (i.e. slanderous) or abusive to other posters. (Basically play nice and we won't have any problems)

This site is independant so we have no problem with you talking about various promoters but we do ask that you try and keep thinks civil.

[Edit] Oh and yeah, when it comes to the order of the threads we figured it makes more sense to read posts in the order they were made instead of in reverse. It's the standard format for nearly every forum out there

Hi Mike,

Is there anyway to avoid pagination?   e.g a button to say "show entire thread" next to the page navigation buttons?

As its just text ( mostly ), it wouldnt cause too much problem - speed wise, it can be confusing when page 3 to is referring something in page 1.

Br/H.

Yeah, to be honest I've been thinking about removing the pagination alright although you could potentially end up with some very long threads.. Let me have a bit of a think about it
