Salsa in Belfast

Hi everybody,

One month from now I will be staying in Belfast for a week or so, in order to attend several meetings. As a salsa lover, I've been looking for information about the salsa scene there and I've found two weekly events: Fridays at The Empire and Tuesdays at Cafe Vaudeville.

I would like to have further information about the atmosphere in these places: how popular they are, the preferred dance styles (cuban or cross body, on1 or on2, ...), the average age of the crowds, and so on.

I would be very grateful if somebody from Belfast, or who has been there, could give me additional information about these events or any others there may be. I can't wait to check them out myself.

Kind regards,

Charlie.

Well sexymario, thanks for your reply.

I don't think there is a forum in www.salsabelfast.com and, although there are other websites about salsa in Belfast, their forums don't seem very active. However, as I found the Belfast Havana Nigths in your events section, I thought maybe somebody could comment some details about the salsa scene in Belfast.

Hi WILLIAMT2004,

Thank you very much for the information. I see there are events I had not found.

I would like to know, just in case I can't attend all of them (although I'll try to), how each of them is: the atmosphere, the preferred dance style (cuban, on1, on2), dance level, average age of the people, etc.

Thank you very much in advance.
