What price a good lesson?

Following debate in another thread I thought people might like to post their thoughts on what they would pay for a good lesson in Ireland with a teacher under the following headings:

1. Group lesson with club after

2. Group lesson with no club after

3. Individual lesson (private)

For what it's worth the max amounts I'd pay are €10 for group with club, I wouldn't go to a lesson that doesn't have dancing after-maybe a fiver if I did go, and €25 for an hour private lesson if there isn't a venue cost to the teacher e.g. if it's in a private house or before or after their regular lessons/club.

Oh...just a thought...how do people feel about the idea of teachers asking at the end of a lesson for feedback or distributing feedback forms every couple of weeks?

"Make up your own mind" is what everyone has been saying all along.

Hee hee, the tiger wrestling thing, was a rip off from 2000ad - me showing my inner geek (   yet again  - sorry! ).   Those that know me know that I'm not afraid of conflict and contention, especially for topics dear to my heart or in defense of my team, dept or company, but salsa is my release hobby, where I can relax, so I admit I like to see people getting along in it

Sometimes to make up your mind hearing other peoples opinions help, but this is getting less like a friendly discussion and more like an out and out fight.   There is stuff there that one could mull over, and stuff best forgotten too.   Its beer and tequilla weather outside....lets move on to something more fun

So jak you have bowed out still unknow to us all.

you have decided to ignore the requests and questions put to you by myself and Tom.

You therefore must be one of the political class and a fully paid up member at that.

in other words SPINELESS

well davey makes a valid point

ciaran, absolutey right, that is what all but one of us has been saying all along.

honestly jak, i have a hard time concentrating when i read your posts. couldnt you type like you talk instead of using all the waffle... please?

as for vested interests, for all we know jak, you could be a salsa promoter in disguise.and tell me, how do you know what my interests are exactly? you dont know very much about me. and as far as i can see, you have offended, not just salsa teachers, but dancers alike. as for your appology i accept, yes you did cause offence, a great deal to me in fact, but i forgive you and ill forget about it, and do my best to give you what ever the online equivalent of a hand shake is. but try not to do it a third time. its much better for everyone to not behave like a douche in the first place, rather than to do it and appologise for it afterwards.

sorry hugh, i know this has gotten a bit serious, i know salsa for you is your escape, but for some people here its a way of life, a job, a career, what puts food on the table, im trying my best to defend those people.
