This is a cry out for dancers everywhere . Please talk with your partner. Off the dancefloor is the best place to talk to your partner (obviously). I know that people come to Salsa nights to dance salsa. But in my opinion it's so much better and more enjoyable to know your dance partner.

What I frequently see is dancers coming off the dancefloor without any recognition of the good or great dance "they" had and straight onto next dance. Once i saw brilliant dancers in a club, he did every stylish move,close quarter spin, rocket fast movements but never looked at her once.Crying same as she didn't look like she enjoyed the dance at all.  

It's just after two years (let's say 2) you will look back and find you don't know anyone you danced with.
