It's mother and baby salsa...
(I'm sure they allow dads too, Mark!)

She still has a soft spot on her head, but Aylah Heard can already salsa with her eyes shut.
Clearly, this kid was born to dance.
OK, so maybe Aylah is more of a drooling, gurgling salsa rag doll. The seven-month-old's hips have yet to swivel. Her toes have yet to tap-tap-tap. Dressed in a fuchsia onesie and leg warmers, and
cocooned against her mother's chest in a cloth sling, the infant saws logs while Erin Heard lunges and leaps to Latino music.
"Sassy sexy hips side to side!" instructor Kasha Derechey calls out to Heard and 10 other moms in baby salsa class. "Take it lower now!"
Fresh snow swirls in the biting wind outside the Ellerslie business park where baby salsa class happens Tuesday mornings. It's winter, but the action inside the Discovery Dance studio is hotter than a habanero.
"Salsa shoulders to the back! Quick quick slow! Quick quick slow!" Derechey shouts over the stereo. Beads of sweat trickle down the dynamic redhead's face as she demonstrates the moves.
Baby salsa -- that's salsa dancing with babies, not salsa fed to babies, or salsa made from babies -- is all the postpartum rage. And in a workout world replete with B.O., macho grunts and cheesy socks, it's definitely the most adorable and entertaining form of exercise I've witnessed.
