Does anyone know of any forró (Brazilian salsa) in Dublin? Also, are the moves very different to Cuban style? I've seen a couple of clips and they look fairly similar, but is it best to start at beginner level anyway? Thanks!

Never heard of it myself but a quick search led me to this site:

They seem to be doing classes alright, let us know how you get on!

forro is not brazilian salsa , its a country dance from north east brazil, a really fun dance, our salsa teacher is from brazil, and also teaches forro , see westportsalsaclub.ie

Yeah, I was wondering about the web address myself, but they list Forro as the type of class on the page..

hi rosybb,

I love forro, it's a real relaxing, enjoyable dance. THere are very few moves in it though. More dancing to the rythem. I went to a forro dance festival in Brazil a couple of years ago, and as i said, very little "moves" just enjoying the dance.

: )
