I just seen this what you guys think about it??? We would recommend all new salsa students to take a 3 week classes in Bachata before going on to participate in our Salsa classes. We believe that Bachata is an ideal dance for students to FEEL the latin rhythms and learn confidence in partner dancing. This is because Bachata is fundamentally an easier dance to learn compared to Salsa and it is more focused on the music and rhythm rather than more difficult steps as in Salsa. Bachata is the perfect lead-in dance for students who also want to progress to other more demanding dance forms Most importantly Bachata instils that vital ingredient for students..... CONFIDENCE (especially when dancing socially with partners) Again and again first-time Salsa students find it so difficult in dancing with partners because they lack confidence. Salsa steps are generally faster and more complex routines than Bachata.
